About the Business and owners

     In July 1984, Ken Jr. and Karen Crawford along with Ken Sr. and Janice Crawford started Crawford's Restaurant in Denham Springs, Louisiana.  In 1986 we doubled our size on Range Ave from 1000 sq feet to 2000 sq feet, where we remained until 1994 when we built our almost 6000 sq ft location at I-12 and Range Ave.  The Crawford's have always strived to serve great food at a reasonable price.  We had no idea that the catfish we added to the menu at the last second and begin serving in 1984 would become the item that would make us so popular.  We fried our catfish the way Ken Sr. would fry it under the carport at home for so many years, which always drew a large crowd as well, now we just do it on a larger scale.  We now call ours C-Fish (registered trademark) to set us apart from all others.  Our signature dessert in Denham Springs was the Funnel Cake which we served many different ways, with the most popular being stawberries and ice cream.  (In 1999 Ken Jr and Karen opened a second location in baton Rouge) It truely was a family effort or we could not have become what we are today without the hard work of Ken and Karens children Brandi and Patrick and later our youngest Corey, also sister/daughter Katie.  Many things have changed over the years but the quest to serve our customers and friends the best food at a good value has not changed and never will.  Due to Ken Sr. health problems and not being able to be in two places at once, Ken Jr and family decided to except an offer on our Denham Springs location.  This was a very hard decision for the family.  We loved customers, most had become friends.  So after just shy of 20 years the Crawford's sold the Denham Springs location.  But we are not gone because:    
    In November 1999 Ken Jr. and Karen Crawford had started Crawford's Two in Baton Rouge, Louisiana just down the street from the Lady of the Lake Hospital.  This location is a little different from our original concept.  At the Baton Rouge location we serve breakfast and lunch Monday thru Saturday with dinner being served on Friday and Saturday evenings.  Catering office lunches and casual gatherings has become a huge part of the business at this location.   Sadly we lost Ken Sr. in December of 2007 but he lives on in the hearts of the family and so many of our customers and friends whose lives where touched by this Christian Dad, Husband, Friend.  We heard his 1000s of jokes over and over, but what we would do to hear him tell them today.   Crawford's Two continues the traddition started by a Father and Son back in 1984 along with our wives and family.
